Why don’t more social change initiatives – with the talented, committed individuals who lead them – succeed?
Many express frustration about the limited reach and impact of their work. While tackling major systemic problems groups may excel in their service to a handful or even hundreds of clients, but can't find the key to expand to thousands.
Efforts to address poverty are typically more reactive than visionary, and focused more on symptoms than root causes. Participation often excludes those with firsthand lived experiences of the problems being addressed, as well as key stakeholders with ability to frustrate or assist implementation of break-through ideas. Promising projects, too often, settle for “band aid” approaches that leave much of their potential unmet.
SEED aspires to change dramatically this scenario. We aim to serve as catalysts for radically redefining the ways in which people come together to solve the most challenging problems of our times.
